The 2nd Annual Mighty Moose 5k Fun Run/Walk: A Kicks For Cancer Event

The 2nd Annual Mighty Moose 5K fun run/walk and 1 mile kids race for ovarian cancer research will take place on Sunday, September 29th at Concord-Carlisle High School. The event is being held in memory of Jenna Swaim, a loving mother and wife who lost her courageous four year battle to ovarian cancer on July 3, 2018. She was 43 years old. This year the Mighty Moose seeks to raise over $100,000 for Dr. Kevin Elias of the Brigham & Women’s Hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, which will get us to over $325,000 raised in total for this research. Dr. Elias and his research group are on the forefront of ovarian cancer research and have developed a groundbreaking new blood test for rapid early detection and diagnosis of the disease which can save the lives of thousands of women every year.  Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome!
